Amaravati bank offices: the public-sector banks and IDBI
Several commercial banks are part of the announced office programme. This page lists each one and explains what the shared construction update can and cannot tell you.

SBI is also in the programme and has its own page. The joint announcement does not report how far each bank’s building has got.

What the June 2026 review tells us
The New Indian Express reported that 11 banks had handed construction to CPWD, but the article did not name all 11. So we do not mark any one bank as using CPWD.
CPWD is the Central Public Works Department. An instruction to coordinate with it is not the same as a dated work order, or a progress report for one building.
Why IDBI is listed with a different type
IDBI’s own disclosure records that RBI has classed it as a private-sector bank since 21 January 2019. Being part of the Amaravati programme does not change that.
The programme also includes a regional rural bank, a cooperative bank and NABARD. Calling the whole group “15 public-sector banks” is not correct.
Ask for evidence, not just names

Regional office or branch?
A regional or zonal office manages the bank’s work across a wide area. A branch serves customers. A new administrative office does not, by itself, come with a new IFSC code.
For an account you already have, use the bank’s own branch details. Never replace your account’s IFSC with a code you saw in a property advertisement.
