The latest official update

TTD's release of 31 August 2026 records an inspection of the second prakaram and the four gopurams. Officials were told to watch progress closely and finish the works on schedule. The same release records darshan at the temple. It does not say what percentage is complete, and it does not give a new opening date.

Reading the cost figures

An estimate for the whole complex and the cost of one package of works can cover different things. Go by the amount and scope given in the dated TTD release. Do not add up every budget that has been reported.

Visiting the temple

Search for Venkatapalem or Venkata Palem when you look up the location. This temple is not the Amaralingeswara temple in the old Amaravathi town. Confirm darshan timings and festival arrangements with TTD before you travel; construction news does not tell you daily visiting hours.
