The words in an Amaravati land deal
Twenty-five terms, defined the way a lawyer or an APCRDA clerk would use them.
- APCRDA (CRDA full form)
- Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority. CRDA on its own stands for Capital Region Development Authority. Created by the APCRDA Act of 30 December 2014; it plans, pools and builds the capital. More
- ADC / ADCL
- Amaravati Development Corporation, the state's construction and project-management company for the capital.
- Annuity
- Yearly payment per acre to a pooling farmer: ₹30,000 (dry) or ₹50,000 (jareebu) rising each year, for 10 years (15 for Phase 1). More
- Assigned land
- Government land assigned to landless families under the AP Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfers) Act; it cannot be sold freely and carries different LPS entitlements.
- Capital city
- The 217.23 sq km urban notified area of Amaravati comprising 24 villages and 29 habitations.
- Capital Region
- The 8,352.69 sq km area under APCRDA across parts of six districts and 58 mandals. More
- Development agreement-cum-irrevocable GPA
- The document a farmer signs to hand land to APCRDA under the LPS; annuity runs from its date. More
- Dry land / metta
- Unirrigated agricultural land in the revenue record; LPS entitlement 1,000 + 250 sq yards per acre. More
- E roads / N roads
- The master plan's east-west and north-south arterial grid; the Seed Access Road is E3. More
- Encumbrance certificate (EC)
- A statement from the registration department of registered transactions and charges on a property over a period; obtained on IGRS AP.
- Final allotment certificate (9.14)
- The certificate under the LPS rules confirming a farmer's returnable plot; 'a 9.14 plot' means one with this certificate. More
- IGC
- Interim Government Complex at Velagapudi, the working Secretariat since October 2016. More
- IRR / ORR
- Inner Ring Road (APCRDA, PPP) and Outer Ring Road (NHAI, 189 km). More
- Jareebu
- Irrigated, wet land in the revenue record, typically along the Krishna and canals; LPS entitlement 1,000 + 450 sq yards per acre. More
- LPS
- Land Pooling Scheme. More
- LPS unit
- APCRDA's numbered village layout (Units 1 to 26) in which returnable plots are located. More
- LPS zone
- One of 13 infrastructure zones grouping layouts for road and utility contracts.
- Mee Bhoomi
- Andhra Pradesh's online land records portal for pahani, 1B and adangal.
- Pahani / adangal
- The annual cultivation and land-category record for a survey number.
- Patta
- Registered private ownership of agricultural land; the pattadar is the recorded owner.
- Reconstituted plot / returnable plot
- The developed plot a farmer receives in exchange for pooled land.
- Road-cut plot
- A returnable plot later affected by a road alignment; re-allotted through the e-lottery.
- Section 55
- The APCRDA Act provision under which land pooling schemes are notified.
- Seed capital
- The 16.94 sq km core of the city with the government complex; the Seed Access Road is named for it. More
- Sub-registrar
- The registration office where deeds are registered and stamp duty is paid.
