The BITS Pilani AI Plus campus is being built in the Mandadam–Venkatapalem area. The first student intake is planned for later. It is not proof that classes have started.

Land agreement and construction
APCRDA records that the agreement for 70.011 acres of land was registered on 30 January 2026. Its announcement proposed taking in students by 2027. A report in The New Indian Express on 14 March 2026 says construction had begun after a review of the campus plans.
The plans have changed between announcements
APCRDA's January release described three phases and space for about 10,000 students in the end. The March review reported two phases and about 7,000 students, with an investment of about ₹1,000 crore over five years. These are descriptions from different dates. Do not join them into one fixed design.
Subjects and admissions
The March report names AI, data science, robotics and related fields as the planned subjects. If you want to apply, wait for BITS Pilani to publish the programmes, eligibility and admission dates for this campus. A construction target does not open admissions.
The wider education belt
See the education institutions directory for the campuses already running and the other ones proposed. For the villages around the campus, read the Mandadam and Venkatapalem guides.
