The overall numbers

A review reported on 13 September 2026 listed 119 major capital projects worth ₹66,802 crore. Of these, 113 were approved, 97 had started and 4 were complete. ₹58,093 crore of work was under way, ₹12,731 crore had been spent since 2024, and ₹41,188 crore of loans had been arranged from the World Bank, HUDCO, NABARD, NABFID and the state power finance corporation.

In April 2026 the figure under review was ₹57,821 crore, so the two numbers are close. The Chief Minister used a rounder figure of about ₹50,000 crore in a speech on 23 September. Different counts include different projects, so go by the dated, itemised figure.

Tenders for the government complex

APCRDA's notices include a district cooling tender started on 28 August 2026 and a call for third-party construction quality checks started on 24 September 2026. When we checked on 2 October, the listing gave 3 October as the closing date for both. These are tenders, not certificates that the buildings are finished.

How to read a project update

Every milestone covers a set scope. A tender is about the package named in the notice. A foundation ceremony marks a start. A working service shows the thing is in use. A completion date stays a target until the responsible authority reports that the work is done. Follow the news log for dated entries and the infrastructure board for each project.
