The education belt of Amaravati: who is already teaching and who is coming
Knowledge City was the first master-plan theme to become real. Four campuses are teaching, a fifth national institute sits at the edge of the city, and two of India's best-known private institutes signed land agreements in 2025.

Signed and building
- BITS Pilani: agreement with APCRDA for 70.011 acres in the Mandadam and Venkatapalem revenue area; admissions targeted from the 2027 academic year with a final capacity of 10,000 students.
- XLRI: its third Indian campus after Jamshedpur and Delhi, to be built at Inavolu next to VIT-AP.
- APCRDA's 2017 status report also listed CITD and an IUIH health-university proposal; treat those as historical unless a fresh allotment is reported.
What this does to the villages around them
Inavolu, Mandadam, Venkatapalem, Neerukonda, Kuragallu and Sakhamuru now have a resident student population, hostels, and the small commerce that follows them. The village pages note which campus sits in which village so you can read the local effect rather than the citywide story.
