Jareebu land: the riverbank category with the larger commercial entitlement

Jareebu is the word that adds 200 sq yards of commercial plot and ₹20,000 of annuity per acre. It is also the word most often misused in listings.

Where it is

Along the Krishna and the canal network: the Tadepalli-mandal villages, the riverside of Rayapudi, Uddandarayunipalem, Venkatapalem and Velagapudi, and the Palnadu-side river villages such as Vykuntapuram. The July 2026 lottery gave 30 residential and 23 commercial plots in the jareebu category against 16 and 7 for dry land, in villages such as Penumaka and Krishnayapalem.

Verification

  • The pahani on Mee Bhoomi is the only proof; ask for the survey number and read it yourself.
  • Jareebu parcels near the river may be within flood-mitigation or riverfront reservations in the master plan; ask APCRDA.

What does jareebu mean?

A revenue classification for wet, irrigated land, usually along rivers and canals. Under the Amaravati LPS it carries a 450 sq yard commercial entitlement and a ₹50,000 annuity per acre.
