Jareebu land near Amaravati: irrigated land with a larger commercial plot
When land is recorded as jareebu, each acre gets 200 sq yards more of commercial plot and ₹20,000 more of annuity. That is why jareebu is also the word most often misused in listings.

Where jareebu land is
Along the Krishna and the canals: the Tadepalli-mandal villages, the river side of Rayapudi, Uddandarayunipalem, Venkatapalem and Velagapudi, and Palnadu-side river villages such as Vykuntapuram. In the July 2026 lottery, the jareebu category got 30 residential and 23 commercial plots, against 16 and 7 for dry land, in villages such as Penumaka and Krishnayapalem.
How to check that land is really jareebu
- The pahani on Mee Bhoomi is the only proof. Ask for the survey number and read the record yourself.
- Jareebu parcels near the river may fall inside flood-mitigation or riverfront reservations in the master plan. Ask APCRDA.

What does jareebu mean?
It is a revenue classification for wet, irrigated land, usually along rivers and canals. Under the Amaravati LPS, it gets a 450 sq yard commercial entitlement and a ₹50,000 annuity per acre.
