Uddandarayunipalem at a glance
One account traces the name to Kota Ketaraju of Dharanikota, who built the village in memory of his father Uddandarayudu; another links it to a commander of Krishnadevaraya, who is said to have halted at Thullur on his way to Kondapalli. The village is on the Vijayawada–Undavalli–Uddandarayunipalem road, the everyday route to the Secretariat.
