Vykuntapuramalso Vaikuntapuram
Vykuntapuram gives its name to the barrage being built on the Krishna, 23 km upstream of Prakasam Barrage. It is the furthest upstream of the seven Phase 2 land pooling villages. It lies in Amaravathi mandal of Palnadu district, and 1,965 acres of its patta land were notified for pooling in November 2025.

Vykuntapuram at a glance
Its notification was one of the first to be issued. By 7 January 2026, when consent collection started at Vaddamanu, orders were already out for Vykuntapuram, Pedamadduru, Endrayi and Karlapudi.

- Vykuntapuram Barrage on the Krishna. Its full reservoir level is 25 m and it is planned to hold 10 TMC of water. The Chief Minister laid its foundation stone on 13 February 2019.
- It is upstream of the capital core, on the Palnadu side of the river.
Land pooling status
1,965 acres of patta land were notified for Phase 2 under the 2025 rules. No assigned land was listed. The purposes given for the Palnadu villages include institutions, the railway and future expansion. In late September 2026 one family signed consent for 14.365 acres at APCRDA's Rayapudi office. A village total has not been published.

- Land near the river here may be jareebu. That raises the commercial share to 450 sq yards and the annuity to ₹50,000, but check the pahani first.
- Backwater from the barrage affects low-lying survey numbers. Ask where a parcel sits against the full reservoir level of 25 m.
